Fuck i get that in my scooby! lol why on earth would anyone have a CTR over a Scooby. This is a crazy world
I only get 300 to my tank (£40) in a 1.8 zs
i would have a CTR over a scooby everyday off the week. But ultimately it depends what scooby it is
standard turbo scoobys are not that quick
Even a standard one would beat a CTR mate... and 99% aren't standard and i'd rather have a car that can be tuned easily TBH unlike the CTR.
Depends what you want

got this from the link above....
VTEC
Always make sure you carry a spare pair of underwear with you (preferably stored in the glove box) particulaly if you are new to the car and at any point decide to rev over 5800 RPM

What's even funnyer is that nothing really does happen when the VTEC kicks in...only it makes a bit more noise

Can you not accept that ?
Think logically for a second.
290 BHP standard, about 1.3 tonne, + large transmission loss.
250 BHP Type R, 1150 KG Little transmission loss and longer gears.

Impreza's need at least 260bhp to be considered quick imo.
My brother had a Uk turbo with the 240bhp wrx engine fitted. Was RR'd at just over 240bhp.Ran spot on,healthy engine etc and my 185bhp FWD Honda Prelude AUTOMATIC pulled away from it with ease.
I'll admit it was ok from a standing start as it had the 4wd grip etc,but see from a rolling start,it wasnt as much fun.Too much transmission loss in a car that isnt exactly light.

We've had the Prelude story before mate.....
And my scooby weighs 1280kg proven so it's a light car and there's pretty much no transmission loss.Bring your Prelude down my way and i'll show you what a scooby can do.

Also a Type R weighs 1270kg and is 200 ps standard...how did you shave so much weight off and gain so much power??

Yes and its a story i will continue to use in threads where people say all scoobies are quick.
And no 4wd transmission loss??How do you work that 1 out??
P.S i know what Scoobys are capable of,my opinion is they need at least 260bhp to be considered quick(which im guessing by your replies in this thread, yours has at least that).

I didn't say 'No' transmission loss i said...there's pretty much no loss considering.
I never said all scoobys are quick either but there is no way that your 185bhp auto Prelude beat a 240 bhp Scooby.
The Prelude weighs 1310KG and the Scooby is 1300KG maybe less so that's 55bhp lost through transmission loss?? I think not.Your mate simply didn't know how to drive it....OR the scooby wasn't running right.
Something dosn't add up so that's why your story ain't worth shit so stop telling it I've had 4 Scooby's now running 250..260..320 and now 250 again so i know what they can do.I've also driven a Prelude and as nice as they are they would NOT beat even a standard 215bhp UK spec Classic never mind a WRX etc. Then there's the fact 99% of Scoobys are modified and even decatting can transform the car so pound for pound they are one of the best cars you can buy.End of.
Have you ever even driven/owned one???????

It looks like 7K is a fair amount for a very nice example but i'd say 6K would be the least to spend.

I disagree Corsanut. I think a 2.2VTi Prelude would easily be as quick, if not quicker than a standard WRX.

Eck FFS piss off i'm trying my best to wind him up here!!!!!!!
Preludes are awesome cars for the money! Pretty bad MPG though from what i've heard and the lack of tuning potential always put me off buying one

When they were side by side the Impreza was catching then suddenly couldn't get any closer. Naturally it'll stay with it easier when it's right behind it, as the Prelude's taking the hit from the drag. It appears to be a Newage Bugeye it's against!
