No worries  Erm.. Obviously you'd need the engine, loom, ecu and gearbox! You tend to be able to buy it all together off of folk though. You'd need driveshafts(and cv's), engine mounts (£90 from conversionmounts.co.uk), a short shifter isn't essential but I'd definitley have one, and that's about it for essentials that I can think of. Getting a new head gasket, timing belt and waterpump is recommended though as they are old engines. And upgrading the brakes to 2.0 16v/V6/Turbo's are also recommended.

The standard radiator should be ok tbh mate. But you're better to get a slimline fan on as well as there's little clearance. A standard XE Corsa should do 60 in 7 seconds or under.

Not really heavy on petrol, no. I get FAR better mpg in the XE than I did the 1.4! Has to work a hell of a lot less, and I can get about 40mpg if I take it easy.

My 1.4 sport had a janspeed 4-2-1, decat, full system and a lexmaul and stayed level with my mates mk2 vtr.
You can keep up with one but your dreaming if you think you can thrash them!

im thinkin more along tha line of a remap rather than cams cause cams in my opinion may be to much for the 1.4 lol but i could be rong

Cams won't be too much for it Danny. JR had one with that sort of spec, cams and a remap and it had 130+ bhp iirc.

a lad from around mine had a 1.4 cammed without a remap and it was much quicker than mine!
If your getting a remap throw some cams in to finish it off!

TBH most of the time it is down to the driver, I smoked a 1.8t A4 round the twisties in my sxi FFS, but yes a VTR would beat a 1.6 in most situations.
