whats wrong with downshifting?
that requiures moving your arm where as i can just sit in 5th and keep up with my mate who drops down to 3rd lazyness ftw.
your mate needs a quicker car lol

When you get old, u'll understand.
I was the king of "i'll always modifiy my car, lower it, some alloys, and an exhaust, high revving fun"...
Now, i'd prefer to leave it in 6th, and put my foot down. Meanwhile, ned in the saxo has dropped 2 gears, missed putting it in 3rd gear, gets it in gear, and plants his foot.
But by then, im already 200m up the road.
I'd like a 3.0 TDI as my next engine. Huge torque, instant power, and good mpg.
I like Donnas 2.0 turbo VXR engine, esp after having a 1.6 Astra hire car for a few days, HUGE difference, but dammmm that astra drinks fuel when you put your foot down.
780 miles from a 1.9 TDI VAG engined Audi, sitting at 80-100mph all the time, FTW!!!! Astra is lucky to get 300!!!!

I'd love a 3.0 TDI A4 Avant but looking at 4x4's as well for when the focus goes

I was left stranded by my mate in the middle of no where last night (where I bought the car)
I told him to use my sat nav as his speedo wasn't lighting up and it was proper dodgy
HE thought I meant I knew my way back and headed off without me, and I lost him straight away!
By the time I'd found my way to the motorway I was 20 miles behind my mate, and yet caught him by the time we got back home
