Never ever was. It isn't Brewed so it would be illegal to call it that! It was however called Strachan's Brew before that law came into play Then it was Irn Bru, as calling it Iron Bru would be silly. Even though the name's silly as it is.

He didnt actually invet the idea (patent) I think he just improved on it, as the patent was a;ready held by the scottish chap. Could be wrong though.
