my boss has been fucking about with a retro laptop recently too, its an acorn A4 and looks like this
he has like 15 acorn machines for fucking about with, and is even in some community that is writing programmes for RiscOS. it could come in handy seeing as the arm processor used in them is now used in the new phones including the iPhone

it was an ARM3 CPU clocked at a whopping 24MHz, 4MB RAM and up to 80MB hard disk. it sounds shite, but they run really well, startup is about 10 seconds or something stupid, and once you've got the desktop its perfectly ready
some of the desktop versions he has are alittle special, some are just normal workhorses. fun to work with though for some fucking about he used to use and programme stuff for them in his school days, but when acorn went bust he fucked it off. now he's building a collection
