The drive and performance of the twin turbo diesel engines in them is unreal even more so when remapped. That for me would sway the vote as its such a better everyday car but you've got to be realistic about the how much towing you are actually wanting to do.

We dont tow daily, or weekly.

We do tow maybe 30times a year. We sometimes tow for more than 1000miles a trip. It has to be up to the job of towing a large car STEADILY.

The Toe rag is a cracker. The grille and badge lets the side down but they drive lovely.

Those Viper engined Rams are shocking on fuel. We had a black one in at work for a rack. The fella that owned it said it did roughly six to the gallon when flat out.

Went to see some Touaregs this afternoon.... nice enough inside on the higher models. The SE was pretty bland inside. Possibility, but below either of the 3 Land Rover options... Vouge, Sport or Disco

Has a Q7 been mentioned? I remember whilst driving on the way to the Alps a Q7 was towing a massive yacht thing. Looked really stable.

Test drove a RR Sport TDV6 HSE and Audi Q7 3.0 TDi S Line today.

VERY Impressed with the Audi RR is a bit more refined inside and quieter but not as nice to drive. Audi feels a lot quicker/torque'er too

Here are the two we had a test of today. The RR Sport isnt the best colour/interior combo but it was the model/spec we are after so was worth having a go of.

Have you thought about a range rover autobiography?.
I prefer them to the sport, and can be picked up dirt cheap compared to the 60-70k value new.

My next door neighbour has got a Q7, in fact his business partner has one too which is always parked outside, both in black like above. Just something about them in real life I dont like - although that looks nice above.
