Like the idea with the wheels, should look sweet when done ! Are you going to PVS this year, would be good to see it up close ... As for power steering as far as im aware, no 1.2 8valve had it due to sapping power out of the engine, although if you were really wanting it. Im sure the pump off a 1.4 8valve along with rack and pipes would fit on a 1200 though

Yeah im hoping the wheels look good,I am most likely going to be at PVS again this year. Power steerings not really an issue tbh, just something extra to go wrong.

finished painting my wheels today, had a few problems, such as paintined two and then ran out of paint then bought some more of the same colour and it was a lighter shade so bought some ford sea grey and went over all 4 wheels to get them to match.
Im taking them to college tomorrow to laquer them and they shoud be on the car wednesday at the latest.

Had some problems today with laquering at college, got them in the booth this morning and painted them, then put it on a bake cycle then come back tot them and they had started drying as a matt finish which was really wierd as when i left them they were really glossy.

Even the tutors were stumped as to what it was so ive left them at college overnight to dry properly then see what they are like tomorow and if there the same then they will be getting re-laquerd.

Might have a pic on my mates fb as i was too busy to take any pics.

Waheyyyy...

Done my wheels today again and they turned out mint.

Only got two quick pictures, these were also before i put the centre caps on, will be giving it a good wash, polish and wax in the next few days and will go some where for a little photoshoot.
The black on the back tyre is tyre dressing by the way.

I cant wait to get it done now, there was a small bit of rust as there is on most corsa's but over the winter it got worse so though this was the time to get it sorted, might try and give it a wash tomorrow and chuck some fresh pics up

Today i fitted the rear springs, didnt take any pics as they hacnt settled yet and the car is disgustingly filthy, driving along country lanes yesterday in the rain made it very dirty.

Also bought a tub of filler from halfords so i could start filling my boot.

First off all, use a wire brush on a drill to remove some surface rust from overnight

Then got a skim of filler on it

Then another very even and thin skim to remove some holes left by air bubbles

Then while i was waiting for it to dry i found two dents and a small bit of rust just underneath the bootlock

Then after they were smooth i masked up ready for some primer, used some aerosol primer just until tomorrow when i can get some proper high build on it

And was then left with this
