FFS guys you spend so much time in bed it needs to be a decent one! And all this shit about slatted wood cheap arse bases is just as bad.
For a start a mattress is only as good as it's base so you need a good solid divan and then the best mattress you can afford. Not my fault at the time i had more money to spend than you.
Plus some of you lot are 20 ish or under try having a manual job for over 12 years and then tell me you can sleep on a crappy £100 bed.
I'm going to spell this out for you since you've quite clearly not seen what Nath has posted several times... Now I'm going to post this once, so look closely...
PERSONAL PREFERENCE
Is it fuck it's a science. But i suppose you could all argue with the scientists i'm sure they be interested in your research. Will save them millions no doubt
ok please provide us with the research that shows how much damage sleeping in a "cheap" mattress does to your back long term, and i mean real scientific research seen as you have stated its a science.
There are so many facors in the space of someone's life over years and years that could contribute to them developing back problems, how on earth can you just say "yeah its down to a cheap mattress", please back up your arguments.
i agree that you need to pay for a decent mattress but there comes a point when you stop paying for quality and start simply paying for name brands.
not to mention mattress's are in relative terms a new product, what about the rest of the human civilisation before mattress's where invented, did every single person in history have back problems due to sleeping on the floor/hay/wool ect?
I bet you have a cheap bed don't you??

wow excellent argument, you replied to every point i made, and in an eloquent and concise way, you even provided valid scientific research to back up the arguments you have been throwing around...
ow wait no sorry i got that wrong, you actually ignored every reasonable and intelligent point i brought up and just commented on the cost of my bed, well played Mr bond.
NB: my frame is cheap and my mattress is reasonably priced at around £240.

ok for a start you cant judge someones inteligence from the "big words" they use. secondly my post does not look like it was written by a 12 year old, but make up your mind you tell me off for the post being below you so you ignored it then you tell me off for using "big words"
why not just admit you dont have any actual proof of anything you have stated, and you have no right telling people they will suffer back problems by not spending over a £1000 on a mattress.
your just coming off as an aragant and ignorant child tbh, but i have dealt with enough people like you before to know that im just going to leave this thread and let you get on with it lol

Check him out y'all, he has a £2k bed but he lives in the Wirral.
His bed must be worth more than his fucking house.

i tend to agree with corsa nut tbh.
i have a manual job (have to stand up 8 hours a day) and i get terrible back ache.
if i had 2k to spend on a bed, i probably would.
my 200 quid king size from ikea does the job but i feel awful after waking up because the mattress is dog shite.

At the same time, I have a manual job and have to stand up to 12 hours a day and sometimes get a sore back. But I go to bed on my cheapy £300ish bed and wake up feeling refreshed Personal preference again!
