All fitted up now, had trouble with the standard DV fitting onto the pipework as the bolt that comes with the kit won't go through the hole in the DV as it's smaller. I presume the aftermarket DV's come with bigger holes for mounting. But it's all sorted now, car kept cutting out yesterday when starting it up without the DV as it got dark so we had to cable tie the DV on temporarily as it relies on boost vacuum even to idle
Seems to hold boost longer in the rev range, but it was very wet when we went out to test it so it's hard to tell much change really. I know it won't make much noticeable difference anyway but it looks cool The time I will really notice is high speed and in hot weather, as the heat soak was terrible with the TMIC!

It sits straight must just be the pics!
Na I'm not out this week, or last week, shocking which is a shame as that's my only time I really drive the car so can't test it out

I will hopefully be fitting it this week when I get a new handbrake cable fitted. Just took it out for a run with the FMIC and it rips! Love it

Decat now fitted, it's a bit louder but no massive difference really as it's still got a cat in the downpipe!
Went on a RR day with some mates and came out smiling!
284bhp & 302lb/ft torque
Highest power of the day so I won some neons
Video of it on the rollers to give an idea of the jet sounding exhaust

Fat chance, the neons are blue and won't match

Yeah mate 256bhp 280ft/lb torque standard, last run with just an induction kit I got 266bhp 288ft/lb torque. I haven't had a map yet you're way ahead of me with power mods, I've been concentrating on handling and still got things I want to do
Cheers Belton, that sounds like me tbh, I do enjoy my Saturday nights driving the car after driving a Transit all week

Well I haven't updated this for a while, this is how it sat for most of December really
Then once Xmas was over with I started buying a few more bits for the car
New fog light to make it symmetrical:
Before:
During:
And I've got a bundle of parts ordered which I am eagerly awaiting arrival of.
Nitrac Grooved Discs
New Ferodo DS2500 pads (just to be safe instead of re-using the old pads)
New rear pads
JBR Rear Sway Bar
CP-e Rear Engine Mount (75a insert)
Also looking into getting a fast road setup done on the car.
I'm also going to have a go at spraying my badges black, bought a Mazdaspeed badge ages ago which I'm still in 2 minds about putting on so am currently practicing on that. I've got some Gloss black paint already but I'm thinking of going and getting some satin black instead?
Oh & got some of this red conduit in an attempt to make the engine look half pretty, tricky stuff though and can't figure out how to do it tbh
Standard:
Once the weather starts getting a bit warmer I'm going to get back to giving it a good clean as it's been impossible to keep on top of over winter. Wheels off and given another few layers of Poorboys wheel sealant, arches washed and coilovers given a good going over to stop them seizing up. Then just polishing & waxing more often as haven't done it in a few months and it's not beading as much anymore.
Oh & I have a trackday booked for Brands Indy on the 25th of this month so just preparing the car for that

Will go and get some satin black I think or try some matt black as it's pretty similar. Gloss black would never look right with a rattle can, will look alot better than the chrome anyway
Gloss on the left, matt black on the right
I would have agreed with you before Faz, but after seeing this I really like it and makes an otherwise dull engine bay look half decent.

That's a lot nicer! Considered some subtle tints? Would suit the car a lot I reckon, guy near Swanley done mine, took all the windows out and done them properly for £250 (all 7 windows)

Not a fan of tints, plus don't like driving at night with them. I've seen tints on a black MPS and it does look the nuts though. £250 I'd rather spend on a downpipe!
Cheers Gav!
