I want a Rolex so I can be a flashy cunt.
My mate punted his Rolex Oyster to a watch trader saying the final straw was when he went to a burger van & the scruff serving the food had the same watch as him & he culdnt tell if it was fake or not!!
my mate has a fake, don't think I could wear one though.
Defo want one still.
I think they can look tacky, but then I dislike all gold jewlery!
His was like this -
he swapped it for cash & a new Omega......according to him its the one James Bond wore in quantum of solace

It's £3995. I googled it out of curiousity
My price list says £4.2k
I'd never want a 40mm Pam though.
222 or 025 for me next

Next ones up are too big.
It's the power reserve complication I want, 40mm is big enough on my wrist.

I'm a big watch fan.
Christ, thats alot of money spent on watches.
Both were bought second hand in mint condition over a number of years. I love the stories behind each model - the GMT Master II was designed for Pan-Am pilots so they could set the time whilst flying across different time zones. I also see them as an investment and think they look superb.

To be fair, that was a googled image, I haven't got mine yet, the missus put a deposit down on it as a present but I'm not allowed it yet
Got it for a good price too, £1700 was the face value, this has a small scuff on one of the links and has been marked down to £850.

Not keen on that at all either!!
I like my Tag, ok it did cost a bit & yes you really are just paying for the name but it was bought to mark my engagement & I dont wear any other jewlery.
If I was buying again i'd be taking a good look at the Omega Speedmaster.
I'll probably (hopefully) not be on the market for another watch for a good while yet. Im hoping this Tag lasts a while, im not going to bother servicing it every 2yrs or whatever the maintenance schedule is....feck that!! I'll wear it til it stops ticking!!

Probably be worth £150 once you removed all the diamonds & sold them on!!
I dont think i'd buy a rolex....the only good thing about them is that some of them go up in value!! But then I dont buy watches to make money on them otherwise I wouldnt have bought a Tag Heuer

Something plain and simple by Raymond Weil or Longines... Plain black strap with black or white face...

Have you tried one on yet?
The cases are soooo bloody deep* the 40mm variants look out of proportion imo
*16mm I seem to recall

Naa I keep away from them, I get too excited and end up buying things I shouldn't, 4k is a bit too much for an impulse buy though.

I'm the same
I spent about 18 months research on a PAM 089....then decided to visit a AD to try on a 088.
I was sat there for about an hour with various sales folk telling me it looked great on my wrist.
In reality it looked like I had an alarm clock on my wrist

I was looking for a pic of that very model! Couldn't find it and thought the other pic gives you an idea anyway.
