11.6% Swing
Please can someone explain to me what this means? Is this a comparison from previous election?
Yes. As a rough guide they need a 7% swing across the board for Conservatives to win by a majority.
The swing doesn't really mean anything concrete but it's a good indication of voting trends.

I still don't get it. On the main BBC news election site, it says Labour has 2 seats. Yet it has that stupid picture of the polls on big Ben, and the god damn Tories are winning.

Also, the reason the 2 so far have had a massive swing but are still labour is because they are traditionally labour constituencies and labour had such a majority it was always unlikely it would go to anyone other than Labour. Most northern constituencies are traditionally labour TBH.

The big ben one is currently based on the exit poll I believe.

Because while the actual party that gets in probably won't much of a difference, the difference between a hung parliament and a majority government could be significant.

The SNP are voted in, order a referendum on devolution, we vote for independence, our oil fields are shut to the British government.
It affects every one in every way.

Ok fair enough....I just find the whole voting/election drama quite far flung & almost comical!!
One thing that stood out for me this time......was the lack of flyers, signs, flags, badges etc Credit crunch campaigning lol
