I'm in the novice group as it's my first track-day and that was the only places left, but I have booked up for the full GP circuit on the 26th in Inters as well as Snetterton on 6th September.

Fitted new smoked rear light and indicators:

Just got back from Brands, freshly laid surface and my first track day but I've got the bug now. It was so epic, it looks so much different from a spectators view.

Loved it but novice is way too slow, I'm constantly stuck behind people but I'm glad I did it for the experience. Got the 26th full GP circuit booked up in Inters with a good 10+ other people I know quite well so it's gunna be really cool.

Radial spacers arrived so the Brembo M4 callipers will align up with the Brembo 320mm discs:

Got some angled tyre valves as it's hard enough putting air in the front as it is... I can only imagine what it's like with 320mm discs:

My HID's (both hi and lo beam) arrived today along with white side light bulbs as I do quite a bit of night riding:

Spent a while getting all the stickers and shit off the carbon as well as the wheel weights and other imperfections. Lined up ready for a polish and wax:

Looks like you had a good day! And you're right, novice group can be hard work. But its a lot different to the road so you never know how quick you are in terms of trackdays until you do one. I was at Mallory Park yesterday. Got pissed wet through!! If the bug has really bit you, your gonna need a track bike. Wouldn't want to sling that nice GSX-R down the road!

I've already prepared myself to be honest, it's gunna happen sooner or later, it always fucking does.

Got the 26th booked up for all day full GP at Brands then the 6th at an all day Snetterton.

Yeah, got a 748 but that's just my road bike. I've barely ridden it this year. Maybe a 1000 miles so far? Been busy doing trackdays. Cadwell will be my 9th (I think) this year. I've got an Aprilia RS250 for trackdays. Do have a project thread on here for it but not updated it since March.

I rode my mates BMW S1000R on Sunday with a HMQuickshifter. The term awesome is an understatement so went home and booked on with HM Racing (Orpington) for a new HMQuickshifter Plus to be fitted today:

Absolute quality bit of kit, by far the best mod so far...

Got the Racetec Interact scrubs fitted to the wheels today. I wanted to fit new tyres but I couldn't find a K1 Racetec anywhere and all tyre shops I tried needed to order it in. Oh well.

My mate Nick came round to help fit my HID's but we got a little carried away.

It was harder than we had imagined so the whole front end had to come off...

Then we got bored and decided to fit the Dymag rear wheel as there was nothing stopping us really:

Mmm...

We then fitted the quick action throttle (1/5 turn):

We then removed the exhaust SET valve as well as disconnecting the wire from the ECU so there's no FI light:

Then we thought we might as well put the front Dymag on as we had a few hours spare:

Old and new:

Now unfortunately the guy on Gixerjunkies sent the wrong spacers... They don't have the inners machined out so they don't slot over the top of the radial forks and instead just rest on top which is wrong and makes them a good 3-4mm bigger (thus making them the complete wrong size).

Luckily I had spacers to fit the standard callipers on the 320mm Brembo discs so that's what I've done for now until I source yet another set of spacers.

Whilst the front wheel was off we fitted the carbon fender and whilst the rear wheel was off we fitted the carbon chain guard:

Tidied up just in time to go and meet everyone else for bike night! Lets hope nothing falls off... Purposely gunna stay out until dark to see how the HID's perform.
