To be fair, Green should have saved that! A silly error by him. You have to stick with him or he will lose all confidence, and we all know he is a quality keeper.

Overall a pretty dire performance though. I'm not sure I saw Fat Frank do anything all match, Carragher didn't look convincing in defence. Rooney didn't get much action, and what were the commentators on about, Heskey did NOT have a good game!

Still, only the first game and we didn't lose.

ignore the green incident. the team are good enough to have gone on and smashed the usa apart. they didnt. its the fault of all 11 players. just gotta sort it out in the next 2 games.

Agreed. We played alright I thought. Just so happened to be overshadowed by an individual mistake. That'll be the hardest game in this group and we were rarely troubled. Fills me with hope watching the Algeria vs Slovenia game too. Terrible match.
