That's sooner than Vodafone are quoting on their website. Well as of last night, haven't had chance to check it yet.

Even if it is 1 week, £95 is £95

I phoned O2 today.

Upgrades said 11th October and isn't likely to change.

Retentions said 18th October as they didn't want to disappoint.

I can't take advantage of the Vodafone cashback deal. PAC code runs out 16th Oct, deal runs out 10th Oct through Quidco. Vodafone need valid PAC until 22nd.

Will probably just wait for O2.

EDIT: Just thought. Could take out Vodafone contract, then do the PAC business later on.

You cant do that with Voda, its at the point of connection.

Ask o2 to extend the pac code/issue you another one

I've persuaded a mate at work to upgrade his iPhone 2G to a N8 so he phoned upgrades today - they said 18th October now, and is pretty much certain.

NokiaDirect.co.uk website says October 15th.

So I suspect if you order from O2 on 18th you'll get it 22nd.

Getting there.

pow - C7 expected November according to one network provider website I was on (couldn't remember). I reckon this will be accurate as Symbian^3 will be sorted.

O2 fail. I don't understand why they want to be so secrative about their tariffs. Could have lost a lot of business.

Yeah but iOS and Android is much better.

Buy a Desire outright with a sim-only contract - save yourself a wedge and have a better phone.

I don't have the money to buy outright therefore only option is contract - an extra £10p/m isn't much but ~£300 outlay is.

I read some comments on the Engadget review. They marked it down for everything it wasn't (i.e. iOS or Android) but failed to mark it up for what it was good at, so they voted it poorly.

ALSO they say it's unmistakably Symbian...that's like saying the Desire HD is 'unmistakably Android'. If you like Symbian, which I do as have nothing to compare it to, I think it'll be excellent.

Hopefully pre-order on O2 Monday

haven't bothered readin the thread but in the paper yesterday tesco were doing this phone for £25 on vodafone, 300 mins, untld text, 500mb internet.

is that a good deal? i still have 5-6 months left on my current contract though
