I've got all the info I need from various sources bar the MOT cert. Going to go up DVLA and try and blag it.

Isn't that a bit dodgy as your technically stealing someones plate? Verbal agreement won't mean much I don't think as its registered on his car

They can be VERY strict.

With the new Keeper bit missing on the V5 AND there being no MOT if they process it you will be lucky.

You could always get a duplicate MOT certificate from wherever you had it tested and send off that with the V5, as long as you have the numbers off the tax disc. You don't actually have to send the tax disc back with the application.

No chance you will get it on the quiet. If the DVLA are aware it's been sold recently they only need order an inspection and you're goosed.

There are loads of examples of it. Once the car is gone basically forget it.

Legally it's not even yours anyway and if all you have is a verbal agreement then you might even have a theft accusation on your hands.

Haha, unfortunately he won't have got it.. It looks like one of those 'Phonesafe' or whatever numbers that pistonheads give you so they can't get your number to do exactly that
