But Florentino Perez has based his model on that for the years he's been in charge of Real Madrid.

Yup 100%.
Real have always done it, did it with Beckham, they even managed a lot of his personal advertising iirc so they were having a cut for doing nothing other than letting him do the ad

I doubt it. I think its due to them not being that good
I just can't see him going to a PL team. He'll be off abroad for a couple of years.

I can't believe i have just read about this I feel almost distraught
He's an ungrateful little badger I hope he does go to Real Madrid it will be the end of him as he will no longer be the star in that team, just like Owen wasn't when he went there, he'll realise he has to fight for his place in the team alongside the likes of Ronaldo & Higuain & Benzema.. Which isn't going to be easy, he'll fizzle out & end up somewhere shit like Newcastle the disloyal little badger.
Oh and he wont be leaving for less than £30m Imo as Everton have a 25% sell on clause iirc so he will only be leaving for major money, or as part of a swap deal, Maybe Benzema coming our way?
If City want him you can definitely expect a 9 figure transfer fee

I feel like we're turnign into a feeder club for Real Madrid nearly every decent player we have had who has left us has gone to RM over the last Decade.
Beckham, Heinze ,Ruud Van Nistlerooy, C.Ronaldo & now presumably, They even nicked our #2 at one point and installed him as Manager

Not sure Ronaldo would agree. I can certainly see why some go to Spain after England. But I agree, no idea why he wants to leave. Either, rows with Fergie, money, fed up with United, fed up with England. Who knows

I was half jesting, I can see why players go to Spain for the money and the weather.
English players never do well abroad though.

He will go for no less than £35m. United will need to bring in some proper talent if they have any chance of keeping up with the other big teams in the EPL. My first port of call would be Arjen Robben.

He isnt worth that right now, because why pay an insane amount for an out of sorts striker who they dont even really need (talking about barca/madrid) when he would be available for fuck all next year and if they do want him for some absurd reason they can hold Utd to ransom as they will just say "well if you dont want this money now we will just have him for nowt next year."
Last year when he was free scoring and presumably happy at Utd, yes, £35-40m
Im not even going to entertain any, well we got £80m for Ronaldo because he was in incredible form at the time and was the most marketable player on the planet. Rooney has scored 1 fucking penalty this season, been shit for his team, shit for his country, has shown a shit attitude and isnt as marketable anymore because the stupid prick went and nailed a few hookers

gotta agree with jonny here.
They'll struggle to get a massive amount for him due to the situation.
And I may be wrong, but didn't everton do the majority of the work in creating wayne rooney? And not utd?
