They cant. FACT.

Ive got a 182, but ive owned 6 Corsa's, 182 handles better than any of them, and theyve all been on various set ups, 182 was standard when i got it, now only on Eibach springs. Still as standard was better than my old Corsa on FK coilovers.

corsa's can handle, just have to spend a few coins making it.
for it to outhandle a clio sport, it must be on a good set up with you.

And this is what im getting at.
Spend a load of money making a light car fast and then compare it to a standard car isnt a very good comparison. Ive also heard the 172, 182 is actually referred to as PS and not BHP. Which makes sense considering most dont come close to those figures on a rr.

exactly, if you spent that money on a clio's suspension set up the corsa would be nowhere near in a million years. It is in PS i think the 172 is something like 165bhp iirc

at the end of the day, a corsa was made to take average joe to tesco's and home and drop the kids off at school. The clio is a sports car 'hot hatch' you cant compare the two cars.

But at the end of the day the same amount of money on a clio would always make it the better car. The clio is a better chassis, theres no arguement there. Your friend cant drive or had a problem with his car.

I had a play with a xe on a long 2 lane stretch and it couldnt pass me, and that was in my old 182ff. They also say the clios are gutless over a certain speed but that i dont believe.

And to think a corsa xe would take the piss out of one is hard to believe.

Not much difference between the 172 and 182s either.
