have had some epic games over the weekend 
really love the maps 
am 100% sure when i had the hind on altacama desert i could fire stuff, i also don't remember being able to have 3 people in it

I'm debating trading in WaW and MW2 for this. What makes this so much better than COD? It has always struck me as being a COD wannabe?

That was my mistake, I got it confused with the one on Heavy Metal which 3 people can get in.

You can't compare the 2 games directly, the most they have in common is that they are both FPS games, that's where the similarities end. BF is a much more all round realistic war game, it takes skill to kill someone in BF as oposed to who ever sees who first in COD. Huge maps, vehicles, destructable environment etc etc. There really is too much about the game to explain, you're better off watching some videos on youtube

yeah i would say COD is more arcade shoot em up, whereas BF is more a war sim. (although you can run around like a mad man shooting the first person you bump into, but you never seem to win the overall war like that.
you can really work together in BF and get stuff achieved its not just about shooting as many people as you can to get a gimmicky killstreak.
i've still played more COD than BF when i look at my gametime, but never going back to COD

Yeah you'll get all the updates at once which is a fair few the latest map pack was 2.6gb 
These are the main 2 servers I play on Dom

just discovered that the 870 shotgun with magnum ammo and 12g slugs is amazing
never used a shotgun before but mate told me about it, i shot someone from one conquest point and they were at another could barely see them in the distance

I've been banging on about the 870 shotgun with 12g slug in various battlefield threads for months now Jim I can take out snipers on the hills in the distance with a head shot. They wonder WTF is going on 
Engineer profile with 870 MCS, Carl Gustav Rockets and tracer darts and the Sniper profile with the M95 rifle are all I use now.

i've never noticed, i had never bothered with shotguns until my mate was running around loving it
i'm using sniper class with the shotgun as i don't seem to do too well being a sniper

Didn't realise you can add friends in game, so 'FolioSpirit' (don't ask lol).
It plays similar to BF2142 to be honest, so after a few hours i should be alright

Slowly getting the hang of it but im still undecided whether it's better than COD though, both are completely different in terms of playing style. COD you can do your own thing, where as BFBC2 is really a team game. It reminds me a lot of Halo tbh.
Still, its well worth the £12.99 and heavy metal is a decent map

Once you get in to it and start getting better weapons and a good knowledge of the maps you'll like it a lot more, and when you've played it for a fair amount of time and go back to COD it seems pointless, imo anyway. They are really different games as you say.

I'm not buying any more COD games now matter how much hype they get. They are absolutely shite. Sticking to Battlefield from now on.
I really need Heavy Metal, not sure who I contact to sort it out if it still hasn't appeared when I go on it next.

Just played Heavy Metal. That map is massive!
Maybe just the game I played in but far too many people just sit and snipe, not really much in the way of fighting going on.
