Already on my mind Ian
I'd not buy them both at the same time. sell focus buy 4x4, wait 5-6 months & get toy. It would probably get an Elise/VX220 over a trevor if im being sensible!!

Fair enough if its for the lifestyle choice. What about you getting the big luxury 4x4 and sharing the other sportier car with Jade. Budget would be a bit higher then?

not read the post but buy my vx220 :-) 0-60 in 3.8, 0-100 in 8-9sec will be noticable faster then prevous car, still very reliable car, cheap to service and cheap on parts! practical in all weatehrs with tractioncontrol if need be, 20-30mpg which is more then your used to!thats 12k gone,
leave you 8 k to buy 4x4

Colin, how big is your driveway and garage?
Measure up before going out and buying a 4x4 straight away.

I love Defenders. But the interior and comfort would drive me bananas. Don't do it

And running 3 cars including Jade's is daft IMO

na...
as you get older (Colon is 1 or 2 years younger than me) ins comes down a lot.
I think we're only a couple of hundred for the Range Rover, under £200 for the 911. Skyline and Impreza are about £800 and £500 respectivly but they are motorsport policies.
The only cost of all our cars than pisses me off is the Road Tax for the Range Rover.
Too expensive, but you have to pay it if you want the car
Colin - dont get a scabby 'Ute'.
