I've had one of my joiners stuck on the M8 since 12 today. He's still there now. The opposite side of the carriageway is clear so would I be unreasonable in suggesting that roadworkwrs could have temporarily removed a section of crash barrier and allow traffic into the opposite carriageway in single lane at 20 mph? Seems mental to me that a road is shut for 12 hours.

most interesting drive home i've ever had. Left the city centre at 12 to drive basically 9/10 miles. Took 4 hours. involved a backwards exit down a motorway sliproad and being towed up a hill by a RangeRover.

sick of the site of this bloody snow now!

Its not as freezing (-15 last night)or snowy on the roads anymore as long as the M-ways are not driven on it should be ok but still might take longer than usual.

That is mental having cars stuck on a road for 15 hours. The snow is meant to melt on the weekend too with temperatures forecast as high as +10.

expect more disruption and flooding from the thaw.

I've decided I'd give every single idiot who has dumped a car with absolutely no application of common sense would get a £60 fine and 3 points if it was up to me, causing chaos.

My car was frosty this morning, must be a bit of a design fault but the wipers wiped the window and because of how it curves they bend the spring a bit, but the hinge was a bit frozen and they stayed about an inch from the windscreen so I could see them wiping but they weren't wiping anything.
