Makes sense to me because my daily runner costs me less to insure, maintain, tax and put diesel in than it woudl for something juicey to take me to work and back in fuel alone!

That's the plan eventually Warren, I just don't quite work at your pace!

Did the amazingly boring job of changing the bulbs behind the heater unit thingy last night as I get fed up of not being able to see what I'm doing

The two bulbs (2.3W not 1.2W ones) cost me £1.02 from Halfords... it was the two H7 bulbs I bought for the MiTo that cost me £7.50

I need to replace mine, you say you can buy them from Halfords? The heater controls?

Yeah Ollie, I'll take a picture tonight with the Halfords bulbs in, 2.3W's. Ill get the number of the receipt which is probably in my car. They are like £2.99 but on trade they are 52 or 54p each! You need two.

There is a guide in the Tutorials section but I just did it off the top of my head as I've done it before. It's not easy but I managed to do it in an evening in the dark using a torch!

i changed the ones behind mine soon after i got it, every corsa ive had has had those bulbs popped! i think its because they are always on when the engine is on instead of coming on with the lights

I'm sure it's not difficult, cut the ignition live wire and run another wire for illumination. Earth goes to the same place .

I replaced mine with LEDs in the W reg but that cost meabout a tenner

Another day of messing around today, cleaned all the mould (oh yes, mould!) out of the door and boot shuts, found a seat of seat covers in the boot of the capri so fitted the rears and put some headrests in the back. I also scrubbed all the plastics with a sponge .

Few pictures of the interior:

Calibra leather.. oh baby

Covers over the rear seats

Rear headrests

Ripped the headrests and mounts out of some seats I scrapped, the holes in the metal and foam are already there

And the new interior bulbs:

The buttons are wired up but only the drivers base actually heats up which is annoying. They are disconnected from the supply at the moment but I'll look into it in the future

It's not a patch on Shauns thanks though

I really should actually change the coolant and lower it like I have been saying I'm going to do for weeks

Speedlines would cost more than the car + repairs + mods + MOT though

Found some speakers that were meant for the KA today in the playroom/tv room, smashed some holes in the parcel shelf and got them fitted.

Got me a bonnet, some blackboard paint, a MFD and some new clocks, all for free/cheap cheap. Lavish

I enjoy getting my hands dirty every now and again, just got bored with the MiTo and not being able to touch it, plus everything costs £££ on this, everything for this is free or a tenner here or a tenner there.

Good fun tbh.

They aren't you old wheels, they came off OJC's sport, need balancing actually.

GRRRRRR.

Tried to lower it.

Failed, mashed one of the tops of the rear shocks as well (well, I didn't!). Also missing a few nuts
