Those two m3's are good mileage for year but in nerds eyes they think they are high mileage.
They are good examples.
Oh and just so you know I got my cab last may for £10500 and it is pretty much mint condition. Just needed a good clean and the wheels rediamond cut.
Therefore 10k doesn't get you a dog of an m3 if you can find a bargain.

exactly i dont consider 80k high mileage on any car nowadays especially somat like a bmw m3........ my astra gsi is on 60k must say though last 5k it has started to feel like its ready for the scrappie

PMSL Barndoor.
Mine had done 77k only thing that ever went "wrong" was alternator broke. Thats a common issue on E46 M3s. Cost about £240 to fix. Springs snapped too, common issue on just about any modern car
It ran sweet as a nut, warmed up quickly as it was regularly serviced and cared for

exactly both rear springs have broke on my gsi 12 months ago
still wish someone would come up with a valid reason why 80k would be considered high mileage, few year back my dad had a rover 620i which he bought with only 18k on the clock he ran it all the way upto 160k with only replacing the exaust in the time of ownership and a service at the required interval thats it, lets not forget his rover was also at the time when rover were basically building cars worthy of the skip only lol and the car was spotted about my town as it was sold locally for a number of years after so.......... moral of my rant is mileage aint an issue as long as you can at least try to sus an owner out to see how he may have treated it........
for example when i was looking at my gsi i went to llook at one in luton...... first thing the guy did when he took me out was rape it up the road we got back i just more or less walked off haha

80k the things you will need to worryabout are things like bushes. My donut prop shaft one was on the way out at 77k

It can only be considered high mileage in relation to the age of the car. If the cars 15 years old its low mileage, if its 5 years old its high mileage.
I wouldn't buy a car with 80k+ miles( infact I wouldn't buy one with 40k+ miles) as it would mean one of two things, its high mileage or its old.

a2h-go i can only assume you are made of money and can afford a 10 plate m3 with less that 40k miles on it
jambo why was your prop shaft on the way out though? 50k car i would expect it to last lol local engineering companies throw out shafts for let corsa's which are reliable so why was yours on the verge of callapse?

80k is high mileage because it's a bigger number than the 79999 below it.
Some people don't care about high mileage, some do.
It's still high mileage whether it bothers you or the car is good/bad though.

so you like 1.2 corsa vegas's then lol fact is i dont have the money to affored a LOW MILEAGE m3 so i will get the best m3 for the money if i buy one....
only way i could afford a half decent one would be to sell my motorbike and xe corsa but i dont want to sell them
your theory is rediculous mate on mileage........ are you one of those guys like my mrs dad who has to have the NEW REG regardless of whther you actually like the car or not

I'd rather have something well looked after than low milage, with m3 and m5 etc sometimes a low milage car is set for big bills where as high milage stuff has already had the money spent on it! If you do go for an m car the beat advice is to buy on condition and history not milage!
