No chance once vtec kicks in yo! Only way you will win if you both race down a road around a barrel and back, may be able to push him off the road.

when his vtec kicks in,my inlet manifold gets my revs going a we bit,so shouldn't be to bad,by time his vtec kicks in i should have a few meters on him anyways

Ive owned both, and the CRX will in. Theres a reason the Japs still race em. A purpose built hot hatch as opposed to a car primarily designed to get old ladies to tesco.

Whats the limit with VTEC? 9k revs isn't it? He'll kill you in just 3rd gear

maybe your 206 will give it a better go
Maybe but I seriously doubt I'd keep up with a CRX in my Pug with standard GTi engine.

You've got no chance, mate used to have one with the B16a in and it was very quick even when in standard form. Corsa has literally no chance.

You'd need an XE in ya Corsa and even then it'd be pretty close.

Me too.
And a serious answer to the question.
Ive driven a crx and owned a 1.6 sport, the crx is lighter 40bhp ish more powerful and they feel a LOT quicker infact I think they would be a good match for a c20xe corsa.
I usually defend corsas against all the shit spouters on here but a crx will hammer one even a tuned one.

b16 will hand you your arse back on a plate if its had a remap then the vtec kick in will be lower more like 5.5k and with a full system will beat you with style

Ya a vtec kiks to 8.5k revs as the limiter kiks in at that unles derestricted but vtec can kik in early with a vtec controler witch is like a turbo timer just for vtec witch makes vyec kik in at 2k revs insted of 4 an follow all the way to the limiter or if u run a hondata ecu it gives u ya more control e.g gives u vtec controler and launch control and 4-6 dif setings of ecu tuning lmao not bein funny but a crx with ek9 cams and a hondata ecu would even give a redtop a a run an i know this from exeriance

What was done to achieve that figure??Would need mega tuned.
And if it had a B18 bottom end,it would be a 1.8 16v.

Although in shocking English, what he says speaks sense Except the fact that Vtec is nothing like a turbo, and Vtec cotrollers are just that, you dictate when it kicks in, not just at 2k as that would be silly But a B16a with DC2 cams will thump an XE all day long.
I'm not even sure why I'm answering the troll but here goes... A CRX will be the same weight, if not lighter than your Corsa, and they have 150bhp as standard (B16a1). That alone would sit side by side with an XE Corsa, so your Sport with what, 120ish bhp will be hammered.
