Your're right, i'm not a fighter, but I certinately wasn't scared shitless either, more pissed off than anything.

I'll just tell the police how it was and see how it pans out from there.

What would you get Compo for? An assault is a criminal offence but cant understand what you would get compo for.

Police will take a statement and lock him up. He will be interviewed, and I can bet he admits it but will state you provoked him. Guilty with mitigation - no guarantee it will go to court - only a common assault - caution eligible. If it goes to court then it will be a minor case - not looking at alot of compo. I would say £50 max. I got £75 for being punched in the face while on duty.

Tbf he will get off lightly. You should have smashed the fuck out him, plus with it being on camera and witnesses you can say it was self defense.
Thats what i would have done. Claiming would be the last on my mind in a situation like this.

Im surprised at the amount of people wanting to get the police involved. Fcuk going through all that hassle, even if you do get a bit of money. Surely it wont be worth it in the long run.
