I kind of see where Robbo is coming from.

It's normally the opposite, the people that are good command a higher salary and thus offer the best savings.

This thread is full of comments from people who I guess have never seen it happen. Redundacys are never really fairly thought out in terms of the employees it's all down to how management perceive the money saving opportunities regardless of how good you are or how long you have served.

serious? you are going to be a painter?

didn't think you were that kinda guy tbh, thought you were cleverer

who the hell wants to be a painter? i hate that job and the people who say "he is a really good painter etc" or the locals who are painters and decorators who think its a skill.

Anyone can paint, in fact if you can't be fecked to paint you get a woman or the kids to do it while your at work earning proper money doing real jobs.

Painting is right down there with hoovering imo, just waving a brush around with paint on it.

I'm not happy mate

I'm getting exactly this and I'm going to take 4 weeks holiday from here on in

It would be £23976

The documentation implies they will pay 2 x notice period which for you is 2x11 plus 3.25 weeks per annum plus 1/12 per month there after.
