totally off topic here seth but wot u get mpg out the veccy on average??? mines about 25 around town and 59 on motorway. i put tenner in yesterday and did a mix of motorway and town and only got 90 miles

round town only averaging about 23mpg and thats driving carefully. did Norwich to warrington a couple of weeks ago and it was averaging about 35/36mpg @60-70ish dropped to about 28/29 at 80/90 motorway speeds.

Been contemplating this last couple of weeks and its starting to piss meh off

have u got the computer on the comsumption then all the time i usually have it on range but last night someone asked me wot my mpg was so thought id watch it. told ya when u on motorway keep under 3000 or ya mpg will drop rapidly once u open them extra valves as it were. ure mpg is actaully abit lower than mine than and im surprised. espcially at the motorway one mine is fantastic on motorways just goes forever. do we have diff gear boxes on ours and mines geared better for motorway?? either that or ure right foot is heavier than mine

Gearbox is the same, the SRi 120/140/150 have a close ratio box.

ITs probably my right foot, as im male im more competitve and aggressive on the road, well according to fifth gear anyway

also off topic, but according to the little computer thingy i'm getting 20.5mpg average at the mo, thats a bit around town and a bit on motorway everyday... carlton 3000gsi. Fun tho

them computers are a load of sh1t - dont belive them - had on on my Astra Gsi - and if ya drove steady - the 'range' goes up - they are useless
