I think you're right as I've read on a description for some that say "we buy the popular PPV events for you to watch".
John I saw the sky broadband thing too, rather strange. Could always use a VPN if the box or router supports it.

But you yourself don't select the box office, rather its what ever the provider chooses?

Just read a couple of posts about servers not allowing you to do card sharing on a sky broadband connection.
Anyone know more about that or is it just they won't accept you as a server from sky?
If that's true I'm fucked

Yes
I can change to talktalk if need be but sky has been good with broadband so far.
I'll see how it goes, hopefully have my box tomorrow.

I sometimes have 2 subs so if one is glitchy or offline I switch to the other. I just paid my subscription. It was £10 for 3 months and works spot on. All servers give you free 24 hours to test it.
The box offices are usually polled on the threads.
The big events are usually On most servers too.
I started off with a sd box but changed quickly to hd.
Apart from the obvious upgrade in sound and pic quality. The box is smoother, far better epg, has time shift and recording etc. I will post link up later today from where I got my dm800hd. I got it from china and was 208 usd 3 day delivery. Sometimes u get. 20/30 pound customs tho as my bro did.
My box is wifi bridged but nowhere near as smooth as it was connected directly to the router.

Jamie is the box a clone or genuine? UK resellers of genuine 800's are mega expensive.

I have had the same server for only 2 days now as my old server was expensive compared.
the new server seems very good, also has box offices every week.
I would recommend only ever taking 3 months max on a server as sometimes (rarely) they disappear, and loads of people including me and bro lost many months when a server last year just went offline.
I usually just read the comments on threads and take a test.
I also use mgcamd as it seems slightly better on ECM times than cccam.
The new server is only £10 for 3xmonths (the average price for 1 month is usually £10!) so is very cheap.
the user on there is UK-SAT.
Have a 24hour trial and see what you think.

What's the deal with EPG's on S10/S11 boxes? Read a few threads on various forums where people are having problems getting it to update correctly.

Something I came across last night was that Dreambox have a default (or user created) plugin that automatically updates the EPG
@Jamie, looks quite nice in the mini-view (when changing channels) Am I right in thinking with the Dreambox clones you can use the same plugins/themes etc that are made for Dreambox? Best off using a 'clone safe' image in case of bricking right?

EPG doesn't work other than now and next on the openbox, sky uk don't broadcast it or something along those lines.
The fancier boxes have plugins that pull it from the internet.
My box is here, it's tiny, just about to have a play.
Not legal James.

Interested how you get on, did it come flashed with an image or you gotta do that yourself?

It's got an image on it, not sure what one, it's away doing a blind scan, which I've just realised i'll probably have to do again if I flash it.
Remote is nicer than I was expecting as well.
So far it's very responsive but I've not got to watching TV on it yet.

It's done its scan and found all the channels, all the channels I've watched so far are just a bit slower than they should be, not sure if it's something to do with frame rate or what.
Couldn't deal with it permanently.
