yep do it meself on the driveway

well the latest.......all welding done, thank god for that, so tommorow......

subframes to put back on and the old wheels, then doors, bonnet and boot and prep for paint.

I'll get some photos posted up tommorow

I think you should paint underneath body colour

my nova has a cadbury purple base to make the top coat look awesome

well another busy day.......

rear subframe done and back on the car.......










oh and had trial fit of the alloys (no tyres) and the arches are going to need some widening!







I'm hoping to get the rest of the panels on tommorow, then start preping for paint

I'm planning on using the car everyday, so with salt on the roads in winter, she's had 3 coats of waxoyl underseal

a paint known simply as 'chassis black' , its a paint thats really thick and dries rock hard with a fantastic shine......its getting harder to find these days though, but manor coatings at shipley, west yorkshire, still do it.

got both front wings on today and started preping the front end for paint, which should arrive tommorow........but no, it won't be ready for next weekend and besides, I need to spend a day polishing the Alvis ready for next sunday!

err the latest on the simca, well the weather has slowed me down a bit, we've had nowt but rain for the last 4 days and it wasn't much fun at the Hebden bridge car show yesterday with the Alvis....I got wet through

between showers, this afternoon, I managed to get some paint sprayed on. no pics yet though.
if the weather is kind I'm hoping to finish painting it through the week then get her windows and interior back in at the weekend.

I'll post some pics tommorow night
