Helmet I can understand, but cage, really? Why? I've only ever known 2 cars to roll over on a trackday, you'd have to be bloody unlucky.
I'm definetly wearing a helmet now because I think I lose the perspective of the fact I'm doing 100mph round corners without it, with it on it seems to make me more aware that if I mess it up it can go wrong very quickly so I go easier.

Ive seen a fair few people roll there cars, just personal preference.

Fair enough. To have a decent cage installed you are looking at well over 1k though, as show cages are meant to do more harm than good

you can get them alot cheaper than that up here quite a few fabricators up this way so keeps the prices down. Yeh wouldnt go for a show cage.

Last 3 or 4 years worn a crash helmet at the ring when driving etc as to many risks especially in caged cars not to wear one

Maybe if you have a common car My mate just paid well over that for his Astra VXR one.
I've only just realised what the dots are now for the apex, I've spent many a lap looking for these dots, I thought they were more obvious than that
