No idea about the mainland UK but in Northern Ireland it is an easy choice - North Down or Belfast!

Ive lived in Essex, Cornwall and now Bournemouth and I have visited a lot of places in the UK.
Id say Bournemouth has to be up there with best places to live. Nice beaches, good night life, fair bit of diversity culture wise and not too far from London (which is pretty important for me personally for holidays/airports).

Outskirts of Glasgow.
Just about everything is within half an hour drive, some of the best scenery in the country 10 minutes away, it's not in England etc.

Glasgow has got to be one of the worst places! Are you on crack
You visited much Alex?
Outskirts no, City Center yes... Nice in the day, horrible at night. Go up once a month at least, due to family being up there. I'd love for my mind to be changed on the place, but just can't see it happening. Edinburgh is better imo.

Would be second for me after Bournemouth. I Love London, wouldnt mind living there for a year or 2 just to say I have done it. Maybe when I sell the business.

I would advocate everyone does it for a year or 2, just to experience it as you say

I think once people get to know London properly they would have a different opinion. ie. being there ona nice day and just goign down to one fo the nice parks to chill and then simply walk a few mins and youre in a wicked nightspot. so so easy to get around and literally anythign you woudl want to do is within easy reach

Shame it costs so much to live / do stuff there. Relates to wages too I suppose.

London has too many people and there's no escape.
Edinburgh is just terrible, Glasgow and the people are nicer.
I'm well aware I'm looking through Glasgow tinted specs btw, I suppose the same would apply for any city with the same sort of layout and countryside being close by.

Apart from a beach, nice people, cheap dinner and somewhere to park?
Yeah, sounds boss.

Plenty of places to escape to John, the parks for one but well easy to get a quick train out somehwere quiet in the country and generally very cheap too
Alex - exactly, you get a different percepion when you live there as it is more relative. Plus you save on costs of runnign a car if you dont have one

I'd absolutely detest living in London.
Anywhere in Scotland tbh, we have free eye tests.
