I dont rate the cars... handle well, underpowered IMO... prefer older fiesta's RST RS1800 etc

Sooty - When u say they are underpowered what do u mean...they have 105 BHP...a 1.6 Corsa Sport only has 106BHP...and the fiesta weighs a lot less...I admit they arnt the fastest in its class...but they are far from slow.
and the older cars are always gonna be liked more...back then less restrictions on emissions etc...look at the red top engines compared to similar engines now...

corsa 1.6 sport = 0-60 9.5 (GSI = 9)
ZS = 10.2
correct no? driven one before... didnt really feel much quicker than my 1400.
They look not too bad though

No the sport 0-60 is around 10 secs...I owned one for three years..the peformance is very similar with Zetec-S...I can assure you that now...
and a std 1.4 corsa would not beat it in a race im sorry it just wouldnt...pheraps the people u were racing were not trying...

Ford are bringing back the RS range across the board anyway, that'll sort out Fords underpowered hot hatch problem. The Fiesta ST is also rumoured to be out before the end of the year.

the zetec-s offical figures are meant to be dampened down a bit as Ford didnt want it to be compared in performance against the Puma.
i also think the the zetec-s is a far nicer lookin motor than the corsa
