Can people realise I didn't say that's what I was expecting?

To be honest I was thinking more £5k but after a look they seem worth more than that. My dad sells cars for a living and I work there too, it will be priced to sell. 6-7.5k was merely an observation after a quick look on auto trader. As I've already said once I've got all the bits sorted and got it ready then I'll work out a price.

Na mate. You should sell it for £2k, not what its current market value actually is.

There are zero decent S3's within 100 miles of me for the sort of prices retards like john d seem to think.

The first decent one with less than 120k miles is about 7k.

And more importantly an older car with no doubt more mileage.

The S3's local to me range for 3.5k to 7k. 7k being 50k miles & every extra going according to Autotrader. 3.5k is 107000 miles, surely can't be that much price difference just because of mileage. Do different colour combos fetch alot more than others Joe?

Alot of the cheap S3's don't get sold because there hammered and anyone who does a little bit of research knows they are expensive to get back up to scratch.

A few of the ones John posted where pre-facelift which massively devalues them as well.

I have no idea, there doesn't seem to be many yellow ones about.

Mine is a good spec, heated seats, Bose, iPod etc.. Only missing nav and not much else I don't think?

£7k was purely just after 10 mins on autotrader, I am not saying that is what I'll want for it. I'm realistic about what it is roughly worth and will put it for what I think it will get, don't want it sat on my drive for months...

Anyway, all standard bits are being done today. Car is on the ramp at work so it will be looking pretty dull by tonight.

It's done 60k.

Just had a service, cambelt and water pump, clutch + dual mass flywheel, haldex oil + filter, rear diff oil, gearbox oil, 4 tyres, brand new mot. It's right for a long time now.

How would you price that John d off corsasport?

Back on topic it looks a lovely example Joe, good luck with the sale.

I'm considering doing something similar. The Mrs uses mine for work now and the fuel bills are horrific, S3's are far from ideal for town driving.

You appear to have linked a car 400 miles away from where I live?

We've established he doesn't care what you would do.

I'd be sticking it on AT for £6.5k and be hoping for close to that.
