the A4 was known to be the S5L8930X, the A5 as the S5L8940X this is the S5L8945X.
notice the jump in 5 rather than 10 at the end, its dated november 2011 though, which suggests to me it's a now no longer needed prototype part, rather than the A6 that i'd like to see in the iPad 3. guess we shall know in a few weeks.

Russ why do you want it to have an A6, theres nothing wrong with the A5?

As the A6 would(hopefully) be a quad core cpu. It'd mean that they have a device with their new processor in the mass market for months and it could be tweaked(read - slowed down) for the next iPhone. If there's no A6 for iPad3, i cant see there being an A6 in the next iPhone.

iPad 1 refurbs can be had for £250 from Apple now. Be interesting to see how much the 2 drops to when the 3 or 2S comes out.

the refurbs are a god idea tbh. screen battery and back cover are replaced and its pretty much a new one, even come with 12 months warranty. theyre not always available though, theyve not had a white 16gb wifi whenever ive looked

The A5X chip could just be a prototype as Russ mentioned given this is 4 months old.
That said, the retina screen will drink battery life so I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want to add 'fuel to the fire' with the A6 as well. This might be a good compromise given battery technology hasn't really moved on in the last 12 months.

If you don't mind having the old model they are good.
They've got to be having a laugh with their iPad2 refurb prices. £399 for a 32GB? You can buy a brand new one for that.

I'd just ike a tablet, but I couldnt justify £400. So a refurb 2 would be ideal, but for the right price!

I bet you can pick an iPad 2 up cheap now. sold my white one for £300 and was immaculate, always been in a case with a screen protector, all the other bits unused like the charger and still had a few months warranty.

my iPad 2 is about as thick as the 3 as I have a gel case / skin on it, the back scratches so easily!

Those pictures are a bit mis-leading. The 3 is only 1.5mm thicker but looks much bigger there.
Virtually all the parts have now been leaked.
Retina screen
1080p camera
Siri support
