A cool new video of a flight i did today, I have cut out some of the middle parts which are a bit boring to watch, this is a lower flying video higher general speed, shows me hovering around an upstairs window spying on my old man, then me taking off from my bed, flying out the window with a general highish speed fly around the house and over it, and then flying back in the window to land back on my bed, can see in parts how tricky it can be to hold it still in breeze.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzA03FsUuWM
got another still of the house and garden, not so high this time
Then i broke it
snapped a drive cog on a bad crash straight into concrete.
and bent a shaft pin
its not the end of the world though, reordered these parts and for a full replacement all round is only a tenner and i can keep the good ones as spares now
its also a good opportunity to replace these bits when my ball race bearings arrive, heres the stock brass bearings
will create quite a bit of friction compared to these iv ordered
also ordered some new rotors which i will balance as per a tutorial i found when they arrive for smoother flight.

Broken
Is the house all yours or do you have neighbours? Can see you getting some sort of lawsuit against you for spying

I'm guessing you're currently controlling it from your S3?
And what's the video feed like; is there much of a delay (ie: could you fly purely on the video feed)?
No doubt using full RC gear would help with the accuracy but that does look epically

Yeah s3 video feed has been smooth so far probably starts jerking near the boundarys of its range though Iv not yet found them. Had to rely on video feed to take off and land in my room as I was outside

This looks I've been a nitro car geek for a while now, but i think i might invest in one of these for a change. What's the battery like? Where did you buy it from? Apologies if those questions have been answered in the thread already, i've only skimmed it for the pics and vids so far

Handtec was the cheapest I found. Battery lasts about 15 mins but you can order higher output ones to last longer I've ordered one they arnt a lot. If you are a fan of rc you can get a kit for about 125 that gives you a rc controller and a 2.5km range. I may go down the Xbox controller and WiFi extender route though

Quality, so out of the box, it can only be controlled by using an Android or iOS device?

Yeah basically. You get a live video to the device so you can control it first person if you want. If you mess with the tilt max angle you can get it to go seriously fast. Iv not even gone past halfway with that

Had to take advantage of the last RC kit left in the UK at the moment for this and ordered it
as well as greater control of flight this will give me massive range and 1000 foot altitude. To put that into perspective, thats about the same height as the Chrysler Building
and almost twice as high as blackpool tower
whilst waiting for replacement parts iv thought of some good places to take it next week

Some of my parts arrived today and the radio kit
heres the original brass bushes in situ
next to the ball race upgrade
in place
radio kit and receiver
velcro to hold the receiver on the drone
plugged the other end into the plug underneath the drone
taped over it
all in place with the antenna
had to cut some pieces out the hull so it fits snug
fits ok
battery upgrade (top) next to original, 50% more flying time
powered on, green lights on motors indicate all is fine and ready to go
you will notice theres no propellers on it yet as im still waiting for my gears to turn up, as soon as they do i can take it out and test my mega range, already got some ideas of places to take it, cant wait!

How much extra weight has this added to the drone?
