Bet that goes like stink :yummy:
Your joking right?
Its only 145bhp hardly going to go like stink.
I've read everything below but....
With standard power, it'd be 20bhp on the top spec Corsa C, but the engine weighs less....

True, but the standard 1.8 c hardly went like stink either.. What was it 8 seconds to 60, with 145 it might get 7.x a standard punto gt was faster than that in the early 90's.

yeah i had this car and the b at pvs last year. this was on LMF's stand. you may have spoken to me or one of the lmf guys. also some one tried making out it was thier car the cheeky git!
as for power figures, standard corsa c 1.8, 123bhp 121lbft 0-60 8sec
this engine standard, 144bhp 149lbft and if you look at 0-60 on the astra 2.2 its 8.2sec.
as this has the vectras gearbox which gives astras 10% faster accelaration and this engine is tuned a bit and in a lighter car its going to be in the high 6's/low 7's.
i dont realy care if you like what im doing with this project or not, its my car and i like it!

drilled out door plugs to route wires into the doors, used plastic tube to thread wires through the rubber boot and then pull through the plug.

fitted MB Quart QM218.61 Q speakers to the front doors, not happy with tweeter location but ive had a better idea of how to fit them more stealth looking. also fitted crome door handles while apart.

routed wires through the car, used 4 gauge power cable as its having a second battery in the back so doesnt need to be any bigger, spearker cables are twisted type more commonly found in home hifi, rca leads for front speaker amp and sub, seperate trigger wire for switching amp on.

this little lot to go in tomorrow!

deep and low!
was going to run a test cd tonight but at 8pm thought it might upset the nieghbours. simalar set up in my old mk3 cavalier had almost perfect sq graph and made 138db. not much sound proofing in that though. hit 146db in the mk5 escort! so should be quite nnice in this corsa!

untill i had the vectra b i'd only ever done sound systems in my cars. there was a realy big following around this area for sound off's. all died these days. i realy enjoy fitting all the kit. had a fiesta mk2 950cc that had so much kit on board it would kill the engine with the power draw and 140amp alternator!
corsa C's have large door speakers as standard so getting decent upgrades and fitting them is easy.

cheers for all the complements.
i'll get some photos of the system up later. the amps, crossovers, battery, etc. doesnt look to good as the cabinet's been around for over 14 years and wasnt built to fit the corsa. needs a freshen up.

drop tested the battery this morning to find a cell had failed
so off to vauxhall and have my wallet raped for £87! largest battery fitted to the corsa C by vauxhall.
[img][/img]
heres a photo of the power wire where it goes through the bulkhead. ive used and electrical bulkhead fitting and plenty of silicone as dont want any leaks of risk of wire chaffing.
[img][/img]
connected it all up fitting the new battery on the car and the cars battery in the boot for the system.

tried it out and the first track that came on from cd left in player was snap rhythm is a dancer, few more old skool tunes then in with test cd to set levels, balance, phasing and check for rattles and vibrations.
all good out side but still needs more sound proofing around the boot and rear trim panels need some foam behind them to stop vibraions at around 45Hz. otherwise happy dayzz!!
