Footballs fine margins borne out again tonight...
5 goals, superb attacking play... consistent Vermaelen sloppiness, typical idiotic Arsenal, Reading score 2/2 and the end result... we are 2 points off 3rd :/
Ofc this was against a very poor Reading side but Gary Neville made a very good spot just now, Walcott down the centre forced Cazorla to increase his pace which we have been missing... now if we can combine Rosicky (CAM) with Walcott (ST) and Cazorla (RW) and we would have some pace again!

Not sure what's happened to Vermaelen. On his game he's absolutely brilliant. Very classy defende, but he's been a liability of late. Seems Wenger/Bould are struggling to motivate and instil confidence in the back line.

all seaosn hes been awful. hes simply not a great defender, per se.
mertesacker and koscielny are a much better combination, but TV5 is captain so we are stuck tbh!

I wouldn't put Cazorla on RW??
It looked fine as it is last night. Ox needs a run of games and he'll be super sharp down that right. same with Theo up front.

far from all forgiven but it just highlights how frustrating its been. its the same team he has had at his disposal for a number of games yet we ended up with a lack luster team & performance.
Did help that Reading are dire at the moment.

We played well tbf. Like the Arsenal of old.
Shocked to see we are only 2 points off 3rd lol.
Apart from top 2 its tight at the top.

Yes they did play well and I liked that Theo got a start through the middle and got a goal which I think he took really well.
I think the trick is to not get carried away over beating Reading but sometimes a result like that against a struggling team is whats needed to boost team confidence and help them push on.

He should have taken the other chance he got when through tho. AW seemed pretty impressed with Theo's performance. Hopefully see himk start there again.
I'd still like to see Fellaini in our midfield too somewhere.

Remember the chance he took and not the one he missed. Such a negative mind set.

It's a very odd table. Been a while since the top teams have looked so far ahead and then the rest of the table is just in one place really with a win away from being 3rd. Literally no idea who will finish where tbh, anybody could be in the relegation battle and theres a few teams who could easily surprise people and finished 4th/5th.

Hes never been a great defender per se, but what he has had previously is passion, determination, drive and spirit... all which have been curiously lacking since he was made captain.

It's his natural position, actually. He occupiod there for most of Villareal days and all at Malaga. However, I'm not by any stroke suggestign that we do that permanently but most people ahve been depserate to try that recently so we cna brign Rosicky back in to bring in a person who can drive the ball forward and add pace to the game, which we have been missing in totality for the last few weeks and months
As it happens, my preference would be to stick with last night, I think that attackign trio can bond and work best with the mid of Arteta, Wilshere and Cazorla (with a Diaby type player available of rthe necy games), hwoever, it wont happen as Wenger is stubborn plus they would need time to bond (pref a pre-season) and so even if he did, people will complain when there is the inevitable game where they dont perform.
Gary Neville was spot on last night, Walcott could be great if he can do the other thigns such as holdign the ball up etc., plus we have to re-sign him yet
