Bruntingthorpe is a depot for some car makes.
As is Rockingham, Bedford Autodrome too. Seems a common sideline

plus she can give the car back after 3 years for a deposit on a new one, or pay the balloon payment, or just refinance the remainder and carry on paying i off over the 5 year term

its kind of an open ended 3 year lease agreement yes, with the option of continuing the repayments.
We could have had a traditional finance plan for the same price, but felt it more sensible to leave the option there at the end of 3 years to change the car
In any finance/lease deal the car is never technically yours until its paid off anyway

seems an odd choice to go from thinking of spending £12k cash to leasing.

12k cash was via a bank loan, the repayments were at a lower interest rate. 6.9% as opposed to 8%
Plus if we were paying by cash the price of the car would have been more, so saving were made both ways by financing it with VW

if that's your way of thinking then no one ever buys a house unless they're billy big bollocks or live up north.

6.9% is quite a high interest figure. mines 3.9% and sainsburys are doing loans for 5.1% iirc.

dont forget shes only 21 and been in full time employment for 18months, they generally up the lowest advertised rate for people like her.
The bank loan was also advertised as about 5%
Coupled with the extra we got off the car for going finance with them, we wouldnt have got close paying with our own means, even at a lowest interest rate
Cost of the finance is about 13k over 5 year term.
If we bought the car outright cheapest they were going to give it us was 13,500. Thats if we had the cash with 0% extra to pay

No but he was saying 12k cash makes it sound like they had that amount without finance.

Any pics of inside? Does this have led lights? Great little cars , bought a 1.2 moda for Mrs last Xmas , this one looks a lot nicer though. Can you get leather in them? I don't think 12k is bad for a new one , I just sold hers for 8.5k cat d with 16k 1 year old
