Oh, yeah, to that F20 owner, I think the XE was a 6400rpm limit, and on 45/16 tyre was about 142mph at the limiter, been a few years though so could be a few mph out lower.

I personally loved it, drove it briefly and it brought a huge grin to my face. Shame it was broken up for the engine. My favourite corsa ever.

To be fair its only the engine side of things that makes these cars anything to care about, without the engine side of things, people just have a basic handling, crappy chassis, shittly made, piss cheap hatchback

Old XE corsa off the clocks and hit limiter, in a private tunnel. Lots of noise, can't remember whether satnav said 142 or higher.
In another car, just shy of 160 in an highly tuned evo 7, shit myself, I wasn't driving, car had 4 in it plus luggage, was on a private b road on the way to Cardiff.

110 in my 1.4 16v corsa b. It was still accelerating ( I was going down hill) but it felt really unsafe.

I remember racing an audi r8,
We were side by side till 180mph indicated, then I ran out of revs and he carried on going 
Was a fun day on the autobahn.
