Running about 8 lengths in front of trainer horse, put it in before shooting and was surprised!

Yea, its miles off the pace for long term success. Even a filly needs to be 9 lengths clear at that distance
Must have had a shit line up in the race id imagine.
Ive got my g3 I bought in the claims running at 2:15 in a 1200 soft.
The previous owner was running and training at 1600 muddy, I retested it, and found it to be half/1 length quick on 1200/soft than the 1600 muddy. So im giving it a go before I put it back in the claimers.

I've got a G3 that runs between 2.40 and 3.04, prefers muddy or soft it was winning free races like nothing, entered into 3 paid races and it placed this morning returning 77p other two it came last and 2nd to last
Yet to race my G1 again it's like £1.40 minimum a pop! Gonna put the G3 up for auction see if I get anything.

G3 Colts need to run 4.50 clear to be worth keeping/racing.
G3 fillies 3.50
That's minimums really, to be in with a hope in races.

See, I always thought the virtual horse races were just horses that the betting companies made up...
And I didn't even look at the links in this thread, never realised they were actually 'trained' I got a bit carried away in things so don't wanna get involved!

Its good fun cavey, but its something you need a lot of patience for.
Ive been speaking a lot to shotgun mike (who has earnt over 1 million now)
Hes pretty helpful, and says any horse can make its money back if you do things correctly. Its finding the challenge horses that is the fun part.
I cant see why anyone would sell a decent horse in the auction or claimers though, unless they haven't trained it properly and missed something.

Did you just message him on the off chance he'd help? or did he offer?

Think/hope ive hit a decent g2 colt.
Running 11 lengths clear at 96%. Which puts it in the top g2 category according to the tt comparison on alphamatrix.
Stuck it in its first maiden early hours tonight to see how it does.

Finally some profit from a race. My g1 came 4th out of 14 in a maiden. Had a 5th drawn jockey so room for improvement. My g2 I'm hopefull for us racing in its maiden tonight. I've trained it to 100% so it's as fit as can be.

Just ran its maiden, absolutely romped it. Won by a length!
Only 3 runners mind, but it lead by a about a length or more nearly all the race

Don't bother racing anything unless your 100% sure its running in its best possible race. Don't race unless fitness is right up top. Don't race if its time trials aint up there in the window of being good, as it will just be a money pit.
Paitence is key. Only racing in the best circumstances mean it take a long time to recover fitness and find a race, so will probably only be one a week etc.
Time will tell with this horse, may not be the best yet, but is the only one I have that's up there in the trials, not bad as I have 9 horses and shot a few :/
