i know, just something to work on... just looked through all my slips there and you can tell from the 1st run to the last they just get worse...
apart from the 2.13 where the marshal thought he was a funny bugger..
he knocked on my window, waved to me, as if to say (slowly) you.... should be looking.... at the lights..... by then the little punto i was next to was half way up the strip haha

Well where are his details on the slip? Why not show the whole thing?

I am 99% sure a V6 Corsa, even with a 3.2V6 unless massively modified would not hit a sub 5 second 0-60

It would happen on any website of any marque robin, if someone posts a surprising time, people will question it. I had it with a lap time I posted once.

Look at the types of cars that are running 4.2 seconds to 60, then look at the power to weights etc, it doesnt add up, thats all

Exactly!

Fair play to Jed for sticking the engine in etc and doing the work. But the figures don't seem right.

if he can say it has had xxx done, makes 300bhp and weighs half a ton then fine, but with a slightly lightened Corsa and a heavy V6 I can't see it doing a 0-60 time of 4.2.

It is like Nic's Corsa.
If someone said a guy has a Corsa 2.0 Turbo with 600 odd bhp (or whatever it is) I would be sceptical.
Nic gives his spec, the work done etc and dyno proof.

it is not slagging it off, just saying I don't believe that time is accurate.

You need about 230bhp/ton for that time, if you have the grip, that's all.

That's not a lot of power.

Jeds car will be a good deal lighter than mine. He has also done a quicker 60ft than I ever have. I think its great he has done this so cheap and having fun with it. Good on him tbh.

Because the users on here are more interested in other cars now. A thread about BMW's/Evos etc will always get more response than a Corsa one. Shame really.

True however that is an entirely different style of engine/gearbox revs a lot higher than the v6 and probably the lambo too.

But your point is sound in so much that we shouldnt just be comparing bhp/ton

It doesnt make this any more believable for me anyway, on the gearbox/engine config of this corsa
