Can't wait for people to get angry over a phone.

Those people might be waiting a long time too. I'm sure there were a few weeks between pre-ordering and actually getting the phone last year. Also, why wait in line? I ordered mine a few days before launch day and it still arrived on the day with no problems.

If pre ordering, probably this Friday. Will need to get in early as usually sell out and it can then go 3-4 weeks after release.

Apple held an event to formally introduce the phone on September 12, 2012. Apple began taking pre-orders on September 14, 2012, and over two million were received within 24 hours. Initial demand for the iPhone 5 exceeded the supply available at launch on September 21, 2012,

4S didn't sell out so no saying the 5S will.
Why so much demand for a shit phone anyway?

Whether it's good/bad you know that currently, there will be massive demand for it anyway.

Enough demand to buy a few then try and punt them on for profit?

I think they've got better at having more of them ready, buying a few is more of a chance than it was before. Although you can't really lose anything other than time to shift them on.

Think that stopped being a money maker after the iPhone 4.

Looks like the fingerprint will be on the homebutton and won't be like all the old ones you used to find on the laptops etc. No swipe needed just putting your finger on the sensor.
It uses RF signals to get the print off your finger which is meant to be much more reliable to less susceptible to dirt etc getting in the way.
Will be interesting to see how reliable. I would be amazed if they were to include it and it was not reliable
