We've played well in both friendlies without having anything in the final third. I know its not "cool" now, but we need a big man up front. We aren't good enough to ply through sides, and need another option. Lambert, or if Carroll is ever fit again. Him.

Also, giving man of the match to an opposition player is worse than half and half scarves

There's a huge difference. This was arguably nearly our best side, Germany left a stupid amount of talent at home, can you imagine if they had their best 11 out there tonight?

Which is why I find him being favourite so crazy. I'd take Messi over Ronaldo, but I'm not so naive or stupid to ignore or deny the incredible player that is Ronaldo, far from it.

Ronaldo is a genius and one of the greatest to ever have lived.

It's not easy for some to admit that as we are all well aware he is a diving cunt with a massive ego but the latter he well deserves. Winning World Cup Play Off's on your own, when you are your country's only hope, takes a very special player.

I've always been a huge fan, even when he joined United (first time I'd seen him) I still laugh at people who thought Rooney is/was the better player of the two

Possibly. But the point stands. Obviously lets not even begin to debate that issue, but as I say, the point stands, and it's worrying. This England side, in my opinion, is pretty poor. If this is nearly our best, it's quite worrying it really is.

Nice bloke too. Met him a couple times round Bournemouth and he's done a few bits for a charity I do a lot of fund raising for as well.

The only worry for me is the lack of creativity in the final third everywhere else was OK to tonight imo

Being realistic, I'd be happy with quarters next year, which I think we're capable of, it's a side in transition to a certain extent, and still a lot of players who haven't settled with each other yet, there's potential there. I do think we need a big man up top (Lambert probably as Carroll is likely to never ever be fit) to offer another option as it's too easy for teams to cut out passes at the moment and Sturridge is still too greedy/slow looking for the pass.

Cleverley shouldn't be anywhere near and England team, i'd prefer Lallana in there with possibly even Baines/Cole on the left side, or Walcott/Townsend if fit.

We're also a mess at centre back at the moment, and i'm not sure how that's going to get fixed if players aren't playing together. Cahill/Jagielka or if we're being brave (or stupid) Smalling/Jones for me.

Anyway, still a long way to go, all the media will shit on our hopes in the morning and condemn the entire performance.

Hart played pretty well too, even though all the shots were straight at him

I hate sounding like Steve too, but at least 1 other person has to have an interest in the national team

Ronaldo could be on to break Messi's record for goals in a calendar year If he doesn't win the Balon D'or this year, it'll be a farce.

Zlatan has scored some great goals though. Shame he probably won't have another world cup in him.

Zlatan is something of an enigma. But I'm delighted that the cunt has found consistency in recent times. He is easily in the top 3 in the world, although quite a bit behind the top two How the fuck did he control a ball, with his foot, 3.70m off the fucking floor?!

He's a black belt in taekwondo. But it's still outrageous. Less than a metre off a double decker bus
