fucking lol. You're ridiculous. I hardly call putting alloys, suspension and an fmic on finishing a 'project'.
That's a weekend's work.
If you've got nothing constructive to say, piss off into your new Corsa 'project' thread.

are you a complete retard, or just acting so for the sake of the internet?

Not that I need to justify it to you, but amongst other things, I've welded, rebuilt the front brakes and rear brakes, rebuilt the front and rear hubs and suspension, rear end, front end, helped with the rewiring, sourced, fitted and painted the bodywork and lights, re-plumbed the cooling system and now I'm changing the wheels and fettling ready for the MOT.

So, yeah, just painted a few bits, that's right.

Not sure why you're getting so bitchy because you painted your car a shit matt colour...

On my evo i refurbed brakes including all new lines, refurbed and fitted coilovers, stripped and undersealed the full car, serviced it, had the full car resprayed near enough, split and modified headlamps, rolled and trimmed the wheel arches to fir very wide wheels on stretched tyres, powdercoated the full exhaust - ohhhhh and i mot'd it too you mong - get a grip

Haha, who's being bitchy now. Ok, I get it, you don't like the colour I painted my car.
If I'm honest, I'm a bit disappointed with the finish too, but I'm in contact with the supplier at present to come to an agreement, as the spray can nozzles weren't fit for purpose (viscosity of the paint).
I only did it orange, as I thought I was going to complete it sooner than I have and couldn't be bothered waiting to change the colour on the V5.
Because it's plastic paint, it can be torn off and I can spray it the colour I want, perhaps over the winter once I've used an abused it for a few months.
Lets call it quits, with no more mention about orange! lol

I like orange a lot - just not flat orange lol

And it is a good project but the colour lets it down a bit

Just caught up on this thread. Looking really good.

A '7' of some kind is likely to be my next car adventure and I've read a tonne of threads but rebuilds scare me the most! Any hope of putting some miles on this in 2014 or will it be spring next year?

Did the previous owner IVA it or does that need doing too?

Thanks Kyle. Yeah, I'm aiming for MOT in 2 weeks. I'm just waiting on the auto leccy bloke before I fit the bonnet and scuttle properly. Might get a track day in locally too if all goes to plan.
This has been IVAd and has preiously passed numerous MOTs...I'm still nervous though. I'd never have bought one that needed an IVA test, they're so strict.
There are loads of projects to be had, especially over winter. Obviously there are loads of pintos, but zetec and mx5 seems to be where it's at currently, although bike engines are still very popular.
If you need any help/advice when the time comes, gimme a shout. I may possibly sell this in the new year

Bit more done today. The RR decided to fry itself last week, but I managed to salvage it (I think) and have rigged up a PC cooling fan, which seems to be a common mod amongst the biking community.

Managed to fit the nose cone, fit the bike indicators, fit the scuttle and dash front and tidied up a bit of wiring.

Really pleased with the finish on the wheels too!

Agonisingly close to completion now!

C&c welcome....unless it's about the colour!

needs spacers or wider wheels on the back, they look lost in the arches

Already got 1.5 inch spacers on the back. The rear arches are extra wide too, which doesn't help. I'll be changing them next year if I decide to keep it.
