I'm sitting here watching one of the most beautiful storms I have ever seen. The rumble of thunder literally hasn't stopped for ten minutes. The sky barely darkens before another flash or five slash across the sky. It's utterly stunning!

Make the most of your pleasant work environment you lucky, lucky people

This, it's regulary over 50c in our workshopin summer with no a/c in the building at all. Oh and 27c today in winter but rained so was happy.

That sounds nasty Dav.

When I worked at a Saab garage in 03 we had a very hot summer and I was doing twelve hour shifts from 7 to 7 to boot, so my suffering was compounded.

It was unbearable so we started checking temps in various parts of the workshop.

The temperature of the brickwork at the front of the workshop by the main entrance was 110 degrees and rising, shortly before 10:30 in the morning on that particular day.

Nothing here Eck

Back garden was beautiful at 6:30 this mornin though. Had that really weird, ethereal, golden, early AM, summer sunlight thing going on. Looked like a photograph from the 1970s.

It was mental. It set our burglar alarm off and killed the panel so we couldn't turn it off had to get into the box and find the switch to kill it at the mains.

Never seen anything like it, lightening was going off in all directions!

Aye it was something else, it's hard to say just how large the storm was because the lightening was striking miles and miles apart!
