My car is 100% performance, 100% of the time, no fcuking about being a computer technician pressing buttons to turn stuff off. Proper drivers car, no compromise.

However that performance is about 30% of today's standards. So enjoy your 70% less than a Kia rios performance car pal.

60mpg on the audi sport lastnight

I heard that the golf r isn't that amazing once its moving, no impressive in gear speeds, just all the hype about 0-60mph is what's making it sell to middle management men in £200 suits.

They would wear £1000 suits if they could pay for them monthly.

brilliant description of the golf r look

Me and the other half have just got a 1.5 dci clio from Renault. They have a liquid yellow rs there. Was going to have a go in it but never got round to it. Wish I had now!
Lovely inside and look nice in the flesh.
I didn't like the front but now we own one it's grown on me and the basic one don't drive bad so can only imagine good things.
Still can't belive how our dci does the mpg it does haha.

Hope you enjoy it

I love my 1.5dci. Company whip. Can't go wrong.

Scroll down for the pics, can see how it bypasses the back box when in race mode. Pretty clever imho.

It looks and sounds like it uses the back box when in race mode. Actuator is in the wrong place to fully shut off the backbox.

The 7r was the car of the year in the financial times newspaper due to all of them being on chucky.

To be fair the RS is doing about 35mpg average which I'm more than happy with.

Yep love it for what it is! 70mpg on motorway runs is crazy.

Not really. I was getting 50mpg average over hundreds of miles motorway driving, from an ancient 1.25 petrol.

So another 20mpg on a average 45ltr tank is another 200miles per tank
How is that not impressive?

Because we're comparing a 1.25 petrol to a 1.5? Advanced diesel lump.

I work on a diesel production line in work and 70 odd mpg seems the average fuel economy from the new gen eu6 engines.

I think the last thing I look for in a car is the fuel economy. It never bothered me when I started driving, nor 10 years ago, so don't know why it's such a big thing now. Your car gets low on fuel so you put more in.
