Wheels are more or less ready for primer this weekend, they just need a good wipe down...

Two are now in primer, the worst one of them all isnt 100% as it was corroded badly, may have to sand that one back again and whack some filler on it. Then again I might not as they're only track wheels, not bothered if they're not perfect.

Pics tomorrow when I do the other two.

All wheels now in primer, spraying them up this Tuesday. I'm tempted to stick the road tyres on them for a while

Yeah there's a few imperfections, as I say one wheel is worse than the other 3 but not too arsed about it.

Exactly, plus I don't want to spend loads of money getting someone to refurb them, have to pay for the new engine in about 2 months

Oh yes, can't wait. Think I'll 16v it, buy cams at a later date and probably leave it at that engine wise.

If anything I would buy throttle bodies for it but I doubt even that will happen, they're quick enough with a 16v in. It won't be used at santa pod and the likes much, more of a track car than straight line speed.

All 4 wheels are now painted black, they look really good. There's also been a change of plan I'm putting the road tyres on the GTI wheels and using them whilst I paint my steelies black, then I'll swap them back...unless I keep the Rallye steelies for the track. Not made my mind up yet. No pics as the battery on the camera was dead, I'll get some on friday after I fit the tyres.

Wheels looking ace so far Danny! The rapters will be much better on track due to gaps in the wheels being able to let cool air in and hot air out from the brakes.

Could always have one set of black and one set of white wheels? Only problem with the steelies they get dirty quick.

Haven't done all that much on the xsi. Not worth updating my thread. I will u2u save spamming up your thread.
