id double check that mate. mite not be classed as part of it but i went and got the cylinder shaped pin bit that goes through the selector fork/linkage only a month ago, they've changed it from a solid metal stick type with a clip on the end to a hollow stick with a spring inside, thats only cost me 1.70 or something daft and they never said anything about having to buy the whole lot

The pin is classed as seperate, so are the cup bushes and some other bits of it, but the bit that jamie needs, Is only available from vaux complete with the rest of the linkage.
The pin your on about has been like that since the 90s. The solid type you said about was fitted to novas.

Cheers Alex, although if it does break again its only a matter of nipping up to the scrapyard. Once I get that fitted its just a matter of getting the interor rebuilt, but I'm still screwless

Yeh but somehow I've lost the tin I had them in. I blame my mother
No updates yet, car went up in smoke the other day and found the fault to be the ignition live wire wasn't high rated enough and melted, so I'll be sorting that out tomorrow along with the gear linkage.

Wiring sorted and gear linkage sorted, it now moves under its own steam , so thats the engine conversion officially complete
Just need to rebuild the interior, wire up front indicators in the morettes, get the headlights aligned and the tracking done and get it in for an MOT

Cheers lads, it's been a long time coming
JedDy it's a piece of piss, easily done while its on the car as its at the very bottom of the gearbox. Car on the ramps, 10 13mm bolts and thats it. Don't undo them fully though, just a few turns and then prise one end down or else your going to get oil everywhere
