Here's the link...
http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-32-5kg-selectabell-dumbbells.php
The deal was that they had an extra 20% off earlier this month. I saw the deal the day before it ended and got them ordered quickly.
In my opinion they are great and a lot better value compared to having a massive set of individual weights.

nice pop...
I saw those bowflexes in person and they seem huge.
I just have 2 york dumbell sets (bought two of them), and I've got 1 set up heavy and one set up light.
It's not ideal for every situation, but I just go for the heavier weight if I want something inbetween and push through.

When I opened the box I thought the same. Got them in the gym though and when compared to the 5kg York metal weight the nearest weight to the grip is a fair amount smaller.

Like Cosmo said, they're not too big in person and easy to use. Some of the individual dumbells you get can be pretty big.

im seriously considering doing this.
after watching all the progress videos on youtube i can honestly say that this would fit my lifestyle perfectly. i cant find time to go to the gym often enough doing specific programs to get any decent gains and its annoying me. plus rugby seasons started again so im training once for that and gym whenever i can.
can you u2u me all the details paul and if you'd be willing to put all this on a dvd for me for a price?
cheers

I've stopped doing the dvds...
Gone through several packs of dvds, stamps, envelopes etc, it's a lot of hassle...
Why don't you ask anyone else in this thread as they all now own a copy...

You'll need a pull up bar, and push up bars help too. Dumbbells and weights.
If you feel fancy then a heart monitor helps a lot (imo).

to be honest, I think cosmo found the real dvd's quite cheap.
When I was looking it looked expensive.
Read the thread here and it'll say what you need, roughly, a pull up bar, weights, protein, the ability to bring it.

Aye, £25 for 13 (I think) individual DVDs with each day on them from Amazon.
None of the books with it though so you'll need to downloads those.

That's not bad... although, I would hate to have seperate dvds, would be a hassle to change them each day...
you do need the pdfs really though to know.

The seperate ones are really good IMO, well for me anyway as just take that days in to the gym and put it on, no messing about getting to the right one, etc.

So how about an update from people?
Who is still doing this? What day are you up to? Have you missed any days? Are you sticking with the diet?
Im on Day 15, havent missed any of the workouts other than one Yoga one I think it was. Have pretty much stuck with the diet I posted. Had the odd day where I didnt know I was going to be out and about so hadnt planned anything and had to find something thats near enough to my plan. Had about 3 or 4 pints in the last 2 weeks also when Ive been to the football (been to 2 at Anfield and once at the pub so thats about 1/4 of what Id have at just those 3!).
Pretty happy with it all so far, think Im lacking a bit of cardio so intend to add some more in the mornings from Wednesday. Also going to move the Ab ripper to the mornings from the same day.

Well my update goes like the following...
I was getting great gains and making good progress...
However, I've noticed in the last say 5-7 days I've gained weight (as in fat)... It could be to due with the alcohol I had at the weekend, but I've got a feeling the myprotein strawberry flavoured stuff really isn't good for me.
It's a lot sweeter than the bodyfortress stuff, it tastes like it's packed full of sugar! the packet has no nutritional info, although I think it was on the website somewhere.
Considering I have 4 scoops of it a day, it's a tad concerning!
I had a bit of a bad effort over i think it was wed / thurs last week and missed a day or two.
I'm able to do more than I could at the start and can definately feel / see a difference, but im feeling the change isn't as good as it was looking over a week ago, before I started gaining weight (fat). My belly / beer gut has increased for sure. Just quite frustrating when you look in the mirror and don't see the results you want / initially were getting... that said it's only day 15, so with another 15 days to go who knows! Although I will also be out drinking again this weekend! (I've really chosen a bad time to do this, as it was all birthdays so unskippable...)
I'll continue anyway, and have been taking photos each week, so i can compare the progress easily after.

TBH id put the weight down to the drinking
Although if you're eating/drinking all that protein and not doing the workouts then Im guessing thats not going to be good for you (dizzy will probably be able to explain a high protein diet with no working out).
Which protein powder is it on there, the impact whey?
If so then per scoop its 118cal, 24g protein, 2g fat (so not a huge amount of sugar but not sure about other sweeteners.)

yeh could be the drinking, I hit it pretty hard and do eat junk whenever I go out drinking
about 6 beers, 2 double vodka + cokes, 3 double JD + cokes, a vodka rebull and a whole load of shots... i dread to think of the cals in that lot.
but this is extreme...
to the point of about 5 days ago I weighed myself and was 11 stone 4... i'm now 11 stone 10 that's insane weight gain.

As said Im sure the amount of protein you're taking in on days you do no workouts may have an effect (or I could be wrong, dizzy will know).
How much carbs are you taking in?

to be honest, I don't intake a lot of protein on the days I missed... roughly half it.
