Well im really starting to loose my rag with this engine! Over the past week ive completely changed all the loom from that one to my one as found a cut wire, had the compression tested and all 4 cylinders are firing aboslutely perfectly, changed the throttle body, inlet, injectors, egr, every sensor i can see and no difference! All four plugs have spark from coilpack i just cant see what else it can be!! Something is also telling my engine to start revving as the inlet that was on there was stuck slightly open because of the idle control valve so swapped my inlet and icv over and now mines stuck open so something must be telling the engine to do this but im gathering once i solve missfire it will sort itself out! i hope :/
On a more positive note, whilst the cars up in the air i gave crossmember and inside of the front arches a clean and a lick of hammerite and treated finley to some new bolts for the knuckle that connects the bottom of the suspension to hub and some new hid's

Bummer mate. You checked every single connection? Swapped everything from the old engine on to it (apart from the head) like sensors and fuel rail etc

Yes mate! changed all the fuel rail over last night, ive checked every single connection i can see, all the earths are on, changed all the sensors except air mass sensor which is my original one anyway as he didnt give me one with the engine! Just uplugged it and runs exactly the same, do you think this could be the problem? Wrong fuel air mixture causing it to missfire? :/

Not if it stays the same no. If it changed the symptoms better then I would say it was.
Tried connecting a jump lead from the body to the gearbox in case you missed an earth/bad connection?

Connect a jump lead or something similar to act as an earth strap from the gearbox to an earth on the shell

Well still no luck with the car and really can't understand why it's not working will have to just throw it into a garage and hope they can fix it I guess! :/ so to cheer me up I bought myself a digi dash off "Jonster" on here so thanks for that ! Won't fit it until we get the flocked dash back!
