Good to see progress
Lights are gonna be an awesome addition to the car.
Is the shopping list getting any smaller before Tom can work his magic ?

Yes it's physically held in with 6 bolts but its really not that simple. It's like saying a piston is only held on with two bolts.
we used to get roof repaied at audi by trimmers, who did a fantastic job, is that an option ?

I dont think so JR, ive not made this descision myself, ive been in contact with roof companies with the inital intention of replacing the window.
The roof is not perfect otherwise, so seems little sense in throwing money at an old roof.

Nice one for getting stuck in though, i like this project.
Personally i'm not a fan of soft tops so would leave the hardtop on and forget about it until summer.

Yeah it is satisfying!
Got some more parts:
New bootlid:
(Mine is rusty and leaks) it also has a. New boot seal as mine as some damage.
New carpet:
(Job for the summer that one!)
Also got new (second hand) arch liners to replace my shattered ones and give the brake ducts something to hang on to
Going to make my own undertray also as mine is missing.
Started converting my headlights from LHD to RHD after the company I purchased them off made a mistake with the order and sent the wrong ones. Was pretty simple tbh!
Projector:
Cutoff in situ:

Its not going to Tom unfortunatley. I am not getting a prestige bare metal respray or anything. So got a very good deal with a mates brother.
Will be back in two weeks and will be Imola Red
Tom still has work to do on it when it comes back though as I have a few small ideas to make it a tad more individual

Good progress, Imola will look amazing.
Good luck with that carpet, they are a nightmare to get out, let alone fit! Have they cut around the dash area? They're near impossible to get out of otherwise.

Kenny don't say that
My carpet is fucked, so I desperately NEED this carpet and it's in such good nick. No idea where they cut it! Going to dynamat and close cell foam the floor. Wire in heated seats and hide stereo wiring when I do the carpet so whole thing will be out
